Born with a keen interest in animals and birds, as a young boy Gordon
began drawing and making wood cutouts. This quickly led to carving and
painting, sparking a deep interest in wildlife.
Determined to create the most life like images in different art forms,
at the age of 12 he began a lifelong journey into the art of taxidermy.
Gordon has become passionate about the expression of realism in every
item that he assembles.
Gordon’s lifelong study of the anatomy of his animal subjects
and his added muscle and vein detail bring a greater degree of realism
and life like vitality than the majority of taxidermy mounts that are
available.
Gordon has had the privilege to travel extensively throughout British
Columbia, the Canadian Prairies, Yukon, the Arctic and several trips
to Africa; to study and observe his subjects in their natural habitat.
Now with 40 years experience the best mounts are still yet to be done.
Gordon is still "constantly pushing the envelope for accuracy,
detail and expression" in his quest to be the best taxidermist.
